Dennis Archer (former Detroit Mayor) and so many others (while, of course, the amazing Hudson building was DOWNTOWN DETROIT) all kept repeating about DOWNTOWN DETROIT not DETROIT as a whole! The WHOLE (if you'll pardon the play) FUCKING PROBLEM. Every Mayor for my entire Lifetime (and STILL CURRENTLY) everything is ONLY ever about DOWNTOWN - to HELL with the 90% of the City that STILL LOOKS LIKE FAT-BOY DROPPED ON HIROSHIMA state! All about WHAT LINES THE POCKETS of the COUNCIL MEMBERS, MAYOR, and their BIG MONEY BACKERS! And the REDEVELOPMENT OF I-375 MORE OF THE SAME...
