Meta's "Big Sis Billie" Chatbot Literally Kills Someone
A 76-year-old man with cognitive issues died after Meta's flirty AI chatbot convinced him it was real and gave him a fake NYC address to "meet up."
Plot twist: Internal Meta docs show it was "acceptable" for bots to get sensual with children and spread dangerous misinformation.
Why it matters: We've officially reached the "AI girlfriend kills grandpa" stage of the apocalypse. Maybe — and hear me out — chatbots shouldn't be horny sociopaths?
