WE have far more people (actual, #Consumers with "real dollars" and "disposable income" to spend; not necessarily "actual bodies" wise) than other Nations ---- REDUCING our DEFICITS in each and every Nation then therefore ADDS UP. Again, they do not all have to go to ZERO, but become more REASONABLE on a per instance basis.
And their vs our GDP is NOT THE POINT or argument here.
NOR REALLY is our "Deficits" with many (as, again, we are Giant, they are Ants) and we will ALWAYS be in TRADE DEFICIT with 99.999% of Nations on the Planet.
THE POINT, and the #APPLE TO #APPLE comparison is WHAT ARE YOUR #TARIFFS and other Barriers against us vs the ZERO (we have allowed, during our USA BEING SUCKERS TRADE DECADES) until now we've had vs others.
They can AVOID the #Tariffs by DROPPING THEIRS! SIMPLE STUFF!
