Today as I was driving north on telegraph, I saw a passenger car door open and her leg came out. The driver was driving erratically. Eventually I lost sight of them and thought they turned off of Telegraph. Just before Ford road I saw them again and he pulled into one of the store fronts. The passenger jumped out and the driver jumped out after her. He grabbed the backpack she had and started smacking her around. I turned onto ford rd and came back down the 1st street and back up to telegraph. I called 911, because they were still there and he was blocking any move she tried to take to get away from him. As I was on the phone with 911, I drove past them and gave the description of the vehicle and license plate number. I also was able to give them the description of the girl. They told me the police were on their way. I pray that they got there before they were gone. I pray that the girl was alright too.
MY RESPONSE:
Wish you would have pulled into the lot, with your doors locked of course, and pulled your car in behind that one TO ASSURE He could not Drive off and you would have had chance to provide description to Police (if even the Woman, for whatever reason, felt compelled to Run Away too). BUT THANK YOU for at least what you did!!!
Granted, yes, we are all busy, we all have places we gotta be, BUT (and hand with me on this thought as it plays out) our Founding Documents say WE THE PEOPLE. We are SUPPOSED TO BE a place like no other. Where indeed WE THE PEOPLE are RESPONSIBLE - NOT just for who gets Elected BUT TOO also WE THE PEOPLE must act against any/all things when/where we are able (obviously, unless you're armed, some situations are not something I/You/WE/US can intercede, but many times there are TOO MANY STANDING AROUND just Streaming an Act of Violence on their Phones when/where IF THEY as many would bother intercede against the ONE or TWO the incident could be deescalated)!!! When Seconds can/may matter, The Police are always MINUTES AWAY!!!!
