Yes, since it it GREAT ODD's, I put $1 on Detroit Lions to Win the SuperBowl (if there is a MIRACLE, then I'll have a great payday)... However I am LMFAO at all the "undeserved optimism" about the coming Season surrounding them...
Seriously, some fools on a local Sports Radio program were going on and on about all the OPTIMISM and chances at Playoffs or SUPERBOWL this year for the Lions. Really? These people NEW??
Great optimism abounded the year they swept the Pre-Season, and promptly went 0 - 16 that year.
Remember the ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST 6 - 0 start Season, to which they then promptly BIT THE DUST themselves. LOL
So, yes, I WILL HOPE they finally have gotten ENOUGH of their bleep together to have a decent Season, AND IF some breaks go their way (never do) they MIGHT have a shot at a DIVISION TITLE BANNER this year - given the state of flux of their (the weakest in the NFL) Division! But playoff talk??? ROTFLMFAO - how about a more REASONABLE GOAL for starters and IF, WHEN if they do, GET TO 10 WINS by or after week 15 (as I told them on-air, I called in) THEN AND ONLY THEN "might" I invest enough care and interest to get "OPTIMISTIC" for that Division Banner (the only Banner they have a shot at for the Rafters of Ford Field).
ARE THEY bleeping SUFFERING DEMENTIA?!?!? Again "0-16" and "Bites the Dust" Season and every bleeping Season over decades since the Ford Family took majority ownership of the Team (always happy to put one, two, maybe THREE, "attractions" on the Field to Sucker Fans back into the Stands; but never, ever, EVER, SPEND the Payroll level to build a real/full Team (always in the bottom-half of Payroll/SalaryCap spending) that has any real shot at anything). They bleeping devoid of REALITY of those FACTS?!?!?
Yes, I HOPE, this Season is different. YES, I see some "good signs" with some good "KEY PLAYERS" (but, again, we've seen that Movie before). SO, I deal in REALITY NOT UNICORN FART DELUSIONAL DREAMS --- as RUSH (Canadian Rock Group sang) SHOW, DON'T TELL. IF you get to 10 Wins, which STILL WILL NOT ASSURE A DIVISION TITLE only then will I get "OPTIMISTIC" until then I will LAUGH IN EVERYONE'S FACE that is saying "Lions might Win the SuperBowl this Season!" LOL
