He wanted to be treated EQUALLY as we would treat anyone/everyone else NOT through just the prism of his ailment. To treat him as an EQUAL and as ANY OTHER COMEDIAN to LAUGH WITH HIM because he was/is Funny, NOT out of or for Pity sake!! HE is a Great American Hero in my eyes and worth celebrating, NOT the farce above.
