No, the SocSec system is A REAL ENTITLEMENT and is funded WEEKLY by FICA withdrawals of Peoples' paychecks. THE LAW previously passed, during Govt Shutdown stand-offs, ASSURES MILITARY PAY, SOCIAL SECURITY, AND CERTAIN OTHER PAYMENT 'MUST CONTINUE' from funds that come in WEEKLY to the Treasury. We do NOT have a Revenue problem, but a SPENDING problem, there is plenty that comes in weekly and yearly overall to fund ACTUAL CONSTITUTIONAL SPENDING the problem of course is THEY EXCEED CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY and Spend more (and always will, until we get a BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT) than the US Treasury collects (and, FOR THE RECORD, 2023 on pace to be HIGHEST REVENUES EVER COLLECTED BY TREASURY IN OUR HISTORY)).

IT IS TRUE that a very, very, very, small percentage of those ready to file to collect SS would have their PAYMENTS DELAYED as NEW CLAIMS processing would TEMPORARILY BE PUT ON HOLD. HOWEVER, NO-ONE CURRENTLY RECEIVING SS WOULD STOP RECEIVING THEIR PAYMENTS. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
