I am going to take a VERY STRANGE approach to my response, but feel compelled to reply and I think you'll "focus" on (and understand) the point I'm going-for/making (despite two stats I'll give to bolster it)...

The figure you give in your post, is sad, but IMO not surprises.

Good, motivated, people who try to make A REAL DIFFERENCE IN LIFE (and the Lives of others for the better) throughout all History has been small.

It is sadly part of HUMAN NATURE,
people who care about just more than self, small numbers
the rest just coasting in Life just part of the major population of MASSHOLES!

Our Founders, FEW IN NUMBERS (many just didn't want their current apple-carts upset, even many directly imposed upon by the Crown we looked to shed)

Those who fought the Revolution, volunteers (very few) and those unable to fight per se but could provide some aid/comfort or other "support" for the cause - also low percentage

NOW THE TOUCHY PART... The converse...

It was/is still said that only about 6% of the German population were NAZIs, yet the MASSHOLES stood by, watched, did nothing, just hoped that the worst things being said about their Leaders were NOT TRUE, and allowed it all to happen - and countless Millions then were dragged/embroiled into MASS SLAUGHTER of the World War itself (let-alone the Holocaust deaths).

IN OUR CURRENT TIMES, it is but a few OF THE MOST EXTREME trying to TERRORIZE THE GLOBE and create an extreme Islamic Calaphate to LORD OVER THE WORLD, while Billions of Muslims that DO NOT AGREE WITH MASS SLAUGHTER sit idly by, silent. -- see WHAT IS A GIJIA? https://TerrorStrikes.info/GIJIAS

Look at IRAN, and the RADICAL ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS that overthrown the Shah in the 1970's while Jimmy Carter let our IRANIAN ALLIES be cast aside; and THAT SMALL PERCENTAGE OF FANATICS (that part of their EXTREMIST OFF-SHOOT SHI'ITE SECT calls for (LITERALLY FEEL IT IS THEIR DUTY TO USHER IN) ARMAGEDDON in order to reign the return of THE MAHDI (those with ties back to the NAZI Germany regime (including Saddam's Baath Party in IRAQ) who distant Mentor and Glorified Leader "The Mufti of Jerusalem Hajj Amin Al-Husayni" met with Hitler) carrying on the NAZI traditions. AGAIN, the point being, A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLES DRIVING A BIGGER AGENDA cuz most of Humans are MASSHOLES / SHEEPLE just sitting by watching the death and destruction hoping it somehow "just passes them by!"

And like I said elsewhere, idiots like JoBiDUMB that fail to learn from History to LISTEN TO MADMEN'S PROMISES, THEY MEAN TO CARRY THEM OUT! And the Iranian LEADERS (NOT our Friends, the majority of Iranian people RIGHT NOW out being slaughtered by their Leaders as they again protest in the the Streets of Iran calling for a return to SECULAR IRAN (not exactly of the Shah days, as he Ruled as a Dictator too) back when you saw the pictures of Iranian Muslim Women prancing about their Beaches in Bikinis longing to shed their FULL BODY SLAVE CLOTHING)... again... THE IRAN FUNDAMENTALIST SHI'ITE EXTREMISTS calling for "Death To Israel" ("The Little Satan" and destruction of ALL JEWS not just the Jewish State) as well as "DEATH TO AMERICA" whom they call "The Big Satan"... that Biden wants to aid/abet obtain Nukes.

AND ALSO like I've written elsewhere here on ReTalk, IT DOES NOT TAKE AN ICBM to deploy and use a Nuke (doesn't even take a fully functional one) to easily be put on a Ship and one parked off Tel Aviv and NYC and simultaneously detonated.
