I mean, indeed the question: WHERE THE HELL HAS THE TIME GONE?
Background, I turned 60 in 2022
and I've certainly learned that Einstein was 100% correct about TIME BEING RELATIVE, even though not specifically meaning it in this sense.
YOU TOO? Remember some of those days, weeks, months, while you were anticipating something to come and those seemed to drag on forever? Versus other times, and you look back on the macro level and absolutely wonder: WHERE THE HELL DID ALL THOSE YEARS GO?
Hell, I remember fondly 1984! Why that year, well for me as a writer and winning the CJOM contest for a Radio-Play I wrote ( see: https://www.terrorstrikes.info/xtras-89x-radio-play ) but that showed me that others indeed appreciated my writing and that one day well beyond just the items I was publishing on a local level I would become an internationally published author eventually. Sadly, with all that Life brought about as distractions from that dream - that took until 2022 to finally be realized (see: http://JosephMLenard.us - https://TerrorStrikes.info/reviews - https://www.book2look.com/book/FUuE4nWBqe ). And with I book that I had originally started and was going to publish in 2006, got writers block, moved on to other things, then picked it back up, made some changes, some needed additions that I thought were absent before (in 2006 and there why not published then), as in 2021 the missing pieces flowed onto the pages so much more easily.
All those great Plays, Concerts, Movies, I'd seen over the decades...
but fast forwarding...
I'm a former Information Technology, and can remember like it was yesterday 1999 and the Y2K paranoia and spending months upgrading systems that the "date function" (like our Print spooling Servers to Print BarCode labels (that were solely a go between to take the data from one system, format the BarCode, and then funnel to the printer)) had no real relevance for their operation - but they wanted to spend the money and update them none-the-less out of paranoia. And the entire department having to be back onsite that night at 22:00 "just in case" something, somewhere, somehow, would indeed CRASH due to the rollover.
Then, of course, 9/11, that for many sadly who swore to Never Forget it has lost a lot of our "appreciation" for our First Responders we gained, and now many calling to DefundThePolice.
Like the Y2K paranoia, those that didn't understand, or also those that could PROFIT by drumming up FEARporn, about the 2012 Mayan Calendar recycle - though I dare say one great movie titled "2012" did come out of it. :) LOL
What year was the CHALLENGER DISASTER? That one seems so long ago now, especially since the Shuttles were retired.
